At Blink, we're committed to relentless innovation, constantly seeking ways to create a better experience for our users. That's why we're thrilled to introduce our latest feature: Batch Payments (Beta), now available on the Blink open source dashboard.

Gone are the days of tediously sending individual payments to multiple recipients. With Blink's Batch Payments, you can now seamlessly distribute funds to numerous users in a matter of seconds.

What Exactly is Batch Payments?

Batch Payments represent a paradigm shift in transactions for Blink users. This open source feature allows you to effortlessly make multiple payments to various Blink users within the ecosystem, all without the hassle of executing individual transactions for each recipient. Simply provide the recipient's username, the desired amount in either SATS or USD, and indicate the account (USD or BTC) to which you want to send the payment.

To begin utilizing Batch Payments, access your Blink dashboard. You'll find the "Batch Payments" option conveniently located in the left menu.

How to Utilize Batch Payments?

Sending Batch Payments is a breeze. All you need is a .csv file containing the necessary payment details. A .csv (Comma-Separated Values) file is a simple and widely used file format for storing tabular data, such as spreadsheets or databases. In a .csv file, each line of the file represents a single row of data, and the values within each row are separated by commas or other delimiters, such as semicolons or tabs.  If you have spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc, you can create your data in the spreadsheet and then save it as a .csv file. Most spreadsheet programs offer an option to save or export files in the .csv format.

The structure of this file is straightforward:

  • Username: Identifies the Blink username of the recipient.
  • Amount: Specifies the quantity of SATS or USD to be sent.
  • Currency: Indicates the currency of the amount (USD or SATS).
  • Wallet (optional): Designates the wallet from which the payment will be sent (USD or BTC).
  • Memo (optional): Offers the flexibility to attach a personalized message to the payment.
